Celebrating love. Getting married.
It truly is such a beautiful and exciting time, and it should be completely about you and your loved one. Whether it’s an elopement, a micro wedding, or a party with 200 people, it should be all about the couple in love.
Attending Will & Monica’s wedding was nothing less than extraordinary. The modern farmhouse provided a classic, homey, and love filled platform for these two to celebrate the start of their new lives together. From the tasteful decor to the beaming friends and family, it was completely perfect. Around 30 people attended the ceremony and dinner reception. While it was on the smaller side, this wedding did not lack emotion, humor, or good food. Everyone cried together, laughed together, and ate together – what more could you ask for?
Also, the mac & cheese and taco “make it yourself” bar? Literally what dreams are made of.
While getting ready, Monica had all of the important women in her life right by her side on the upper level of the farmhouse. Down in the basement level was Will, engulfed in the captivating aromas of woody cologne and the fresh flowers making up the boutonniere’s. The walls held ancient arrowheads, and the shelves supported fragile tortoise shells on display. Surrounded by his father, close friends, and most important his adorable pup, Will was in good company.
Witnessing Will and Monica separately transcribing their vows before the ceremony was a humbling moment. Fast forward to the ceremony, you could feel the love in the air, especially being surrounded by close friends and family to cherish their special day.
The ceremony took place on waterfront edge, about a .05 mile walk from the main farmhouse. After walking through a short tunnel of blooming greenery, the view expanded into a gorgeously blazed walkway right next a calm lake. With views of water to your left, woodland plants to your right, and the altar straight ahead – it was magical.
The faint sounds of cello and violin drowned your ears with longing as guests rounded the corner to take their seats. A slow setting sun made itself known on the tips of the tall trees in the distance. The ceremony was filled with, once again, lots of laughing and lots of crying. The strength displayed in Will and Monica’s relationship is undoubtedly built to stand the test of time.
Once we all returned to the main house after the ceremony, a quaint buffet-style dinner kicked off the reception. Drinks were provided by an exceptionally trendy bartending duo on the back porch.
Remember that mac and cheese/taco bar we mentioned earlier? It was just as delicious as it sounds. There was even a piping hot serving bowl of extra cheese sauce to put on top of your mac and cheese – still drooling.
To sum up this beyond incredibly warm and memorable evening, Will and Monica are simply extraordinary together, and we wish them nothing but love and happiness. Enjoy scrolling through just a small sample of the wonderful memories that were captured.
