Lauren + Mason

The Venue
The Gassaway Mansion is one of my favorite spots in Greenville to photograph weddings! It’s such a historic looking venue, where almost every nook and cranny can tell a story that feels like it’s pulled straight from another time!
(Check out another wedding at the beautiful Gassaway Mansion here)
So when Lauren booked me for her wedding, we didn’t even know it was going to end up at the Gassaway! She originally had it planned at my other favorite venue, Edinburgh West… but you know how the story goes… COVID hits and turns the world upside down…
Fortunately, the owners of Gassaway & Edinburgh worked hard to figure out a solution with Lauren needing to postpone. I think it all worked out perfectly – honestly, I’m not sure I can imagine Lauren and Mason’s wedding anywhere but the Gassaway Mansion now!
Getting Ready
I have to hand it to them, they know how to have a good time! Lauren & her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready at her house with Brina Brasure & her company The Skin Beauty Studio. I was absolutely stunned! Hair and Makeup was flawless. I was so impressed with their work, I asked Brina for a business card. It was easy to see the girls were having a lot of fun getting ready & spending time together… (and a few mimosas in hand never hurts… )
Lashes locked and loaded… we headed to the Gassaway Mansion. The guys were in the pool room relaxing & hanging out. I was smiling ear to ear getting to spend a few moments with them grabbing some creative shots with Mason behind the cue stick. Once we got the shot with Mason, I think nearly every groomsman wanted to get one for himself too!
After an awesome ceremony & getting some rather unexpected, but dope family and wedding party shots (see smoke bombs below, LOL!) We headed into one of my favorite parts of the wedding day… the party.
To me, weddings are a celebration of two people coming together – and as I’ve said before often on our podcast “Weddings from the Pros” I always encourage couples to make their wedding day a reflection of them…
The Party
… and I can honestly can say their wedding felt uniquely them! The party didn’t disappoint! Lauren’s bride squad was crazy fun on the floor all night & I felt like the energy in that tent was palpable. Not only because everyone had been cooped up so long during COVID, but also because everyone loved getting to spend quality time with the friends and family they genuinely loved.
Lauren & Mason – thank you for allowing me to be your wedding photographer. It was such an incredible day!
Special thanks to everyone who made this day so awesome!
