Lake Lure has been the site of many spontaneous day trips in the past. It’s simple small town beauty, stunning lake views, and family owned restaurants are just a few reasons why we love visiting every once in a while.
When Emily and Walter said they wanted to have their engagement session at Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, we were so excited!
It was an afternoon engagement session, and we enjoyed extreme sunshine and warmth! Our original plan was to venture to the top of Chimney Rock, take some photos, and then head over to the lakefront and take some photos there.
Unfortunately, Chimney Rock was closed for maintenance – bummer! But that didn’t slow us or our fun down. We got some amazing shots down by Lake Lure and spent the afternoon walking around Morse Park and let me tell you, Emily and Walter are a blast to hang out with!
Morse Park had so many beautiful trails to wander down, and there were, quite literally, beautiful views at every angle. From piggy back rides to face licks to poppin’ champagne, we had so much fun!
Check out some of the beautiful moments from their engagement session below. We can’t wait for Emily and Walter’s 2021 wedding!
