Edinburgh West Wedding | Olivia & Alejandro

Grand exit at Edinburgh West Wedding Photography

Here at Angled Light Photography, I often find the couples that tend to ask us to document their story tend to just be… a little more mature.

It’s not that we’re that old – It tends to just revolve around the fact that that as a wedding photography studio our philosophy & focus lands on the heart of what a wedding is truly all about.

That’s why when a couple like Olivia & Alejandro come to us it just feels right. When we sit with couples for the first time in our discovery meetings we’re not looking for the right couples based on what they look like or how much money they appear to have. We’re looking for the couples whose “why” resonates strongly with our “why”. Those are our ALP couples.

It was so evident from the get go that Olivia & Alejandro were exactly the type of couple we strive to work with. They’re thoughtful, intentional, loving & giving. They’re models for who I hope my children grow up to be.

One thing that a lot of couples miss when it comes to planning their wedding is how they want to start the day. This is so important, because in reality the celebration of a wedding doesn’t begin with the ceremony – it’s starts as soon as you wake up. How well you plan the experience you want to have – for both you and those around you – will 100% effect the rest of the day.

With this in mind Alejandro did the two things most every guy would dream to do with his guys. He rented a fast car & relaxed all morning at Top Golf with his closest friends. Talk about a way to start the day off, right?!?

In addition to that both Alejandro and Olivia came in clutch using spacious homes & airbnbs for their getting ready locations. This provided a ton of space for hair and makeup, and it also gave an incredibly comfortable setting for the wedding party to connect and have fun.

From the moment Olivia saw the sketched building plans for Edinburgh West at dinner one evening she knew that was going to be the place she was going to get married.

Edinburgh West is by far one of the most beautiful and unique venues in Greenville. The English style glass-conservatory looks like something straight out of a fairytale. Driving up to the huge iron gate you feel you’re being transported to the English countryside – and you’re arriving to the private country estate of the King & Queen.

What’s most incredible about Edinburgh West to me isn’t the glass conservatory, or the view of the distant mountains seen from the property, but it’s the amazing flexibility you have to create the wedding that most reflects who you are as a couple.

When Olivia walked through the doors of Edinburgh West and walked down the aisle I heard real gasps from the crowd. She looked stunning, and everyone present could feel the excitement & warmth of her smile.

Ken Bowers was an immaculate storyteller while officiating their ceremony. He told the unlikely journey they had getting to their wedding day and he helped all thier friends and family gathered understand the amazing accomplishment this ceremony represented.

Vows were shared, rings were exchanged – and as the sun set over the distant mountains it was time to celebrate!

Walking into Edinburgh West that evening like walking a storybook fantasy. The ceiling was covered in beautiful draping florals & the glass walls were lit in bold and striking colors. It didn’t take long for Jumping Jukebox to get the music thumpin’ and everyone got up quickly to join the party.

I mean, this reception had it all! CO2 cannons shooting into the crowd, Fog machines, lights shooting in every direction, wedding cakes dropping from the ceiling (listen to my podcast episode with Olivia & Alejandro to hear all about that one!) 360 photo booths, indoor fireworks, masterful music mixing behind the DJ booth. From the start of the reception – it was non-stop dancing until it was time to go. With a packed dance floor there was hardly room to move around. Complete with drinks from the Bearded Bartenders, a dedicated coffee bar from Synergy Coffee & a 360 Photo Booth from Uptown Entertainment… It was easily one of the top wedding receptions I’ve ever experienced.

To top off the night – they even left Edinburgh West with a snow exit! How dope is that?

I want to send a huge congratulations to Olivia & Alejandro on getting married and crafting an amazing wedding celebration. It was an honor and a privilege to serve as a documentarian to your amazing story.
