Get to Know ALP: My First Passion

Uncategorized

So most people don’t know – but in my life… before becoming an educator or photographer – I’ve actually traveled to 40 of the 50 states! Before my “writing with light” days (photo-graphy) I spent a lot of my college summers traveling across the country with a company that would set up camps and work with high school kids…

Traveling is one of the biggest passions in our family’s life – we love to go and experience the most beautiful places on Earth. While we couldn’t imagine ever really moving from Greenville (it’s such a great place to raise a family…) we will always travel.

I realized just last week that I haven’t really shared any of our journeys – so starting today that’s going to change!

We’re going to start with one of my favorite locations! This summer April and I hopped on a plane and flew to Italy. We spent a week traveling from one city to another trying to soak up as much of Italian life and landscape as we could. Wine, pizza, gelato, pasta alongside beautiful landscapes and architecture made for an incredible trip. While we didn’t go to photograph anything in particular – but you know I had to grab at least a few shots. Below you can catch glimpses of Venice, Rome, Vatican City and Positano.

It wasn’t a long trip – but it was an amazing trip. Our home schedule was packed so we couldn’t stay long… but we’ll be back soon.
