As a wedding photographer in Greenville – I’ve been shooting so many weddings throughout the area in venues that have been designed or revamped into event spaces. Although I really love those kind of venues it was nice documenting a classic wedding in a church again! After getting to know Kaitlyn and Zane I realized there was never a chance they could have it anywhere else. They ended up getting married at Duncan First Baptist – the very same church Zane grew up in!
Kaitlyn and Zane actually first met in school at Bob Jones University in Greenville SC – where they first started working on homework together in their Bible Geography class. One thing led to another and eventually Zane proposed to Kaitlyn at one of their favorite spots in the area – The Biltmore House!
We drove up to Asheville Sunday afternoon and ate lunch at an amazing restaurant on the estate, where he also handed me a beautiful cross charm for my Pandora bracelet. Then we drove over to the Biltmore House and took a tour of the house. After we finished, it was almost sunset and he took me up to the stairwell with the house behind us so we could take pictures. In the process of doing that, Zane grabbed my hands, got down on one knee, and ask me to spend the rest of my life with him!
They had such a beautiful wedding on Saturday and I was so excited to see my two friends getting married. Congratulations Kaitlyn and Zane – It’s going to be fun watching the next steps you’re taking and the I know you guys are going to build an amazing life together.
