Taylor + Ben | Beautiful Wedding at Taylors First Baptist & Southern Bleachery

Taylor and Ben are two of the kindest – most genuinely nicest people you will ever meet. I had the opportunity of getting to know these two love birds and hear their amazing story. These two were around each other even before they were born!

“We started going to the same church when we were babies/fetuses. But Taylor was 1 year younger than Benjamin. We didn’t really get a chance to get to know each other until we started volunteering together in our church’s media ministry team on Sunday mornings. It was there that we finally became friends instead of just acquaintances. After Benjamin graduated from college, he started going to the same Sunday school class as Taylor. That was where they got to know each other even better–beyond just volunteering together on Sunday mornings. One day, that friendship turned into romance, and Benjamin invited Taylor on a day trip to Asheville. Since then we’ve been learning, growing, and loving more and more each day.”

I think that last part is just incredible. Learning, growing, and loving more each day is how you know a love is real – and believe me… it doesn’t get more real than Taylor and Ben!

Since they’re a couple who spends a lot of time with their church it was an honor for me to experience them getting married in the very same place their love ignited. Taylors First Baptist is a stunning church with a beautiful sanctuary. The stained glass windows cast the most beautiful light across the congregation and alter – it really created a magical look to the wedding ceremony!

After the ceremony we high tailed it over to Southern Bleachery – What an incredibly unique venue! Southern Bleachery is part of Taylors Mill which is a collection of local vendors, restaurants, and shops that took over and renovated the old Taylors Mill into a vibrant community of local artisans. Carrying over the theme of the Mill Southern Bleachers has an awesome industrial vibe – complete with a getting ready room for the bride that used to be a vault!

Huge windows provide tons of natural light and the huge open space gives couples tons of options for reception seating. Ample room also allows for a large movin’ and groovin’ area for a dance floor and special events to happen. One of my favorite parts of the night was when Taylor and Ben had a “selfie song” for everyone to come over and get their selfies in with the bride and groom. What an awesome idea!

Congrats Taylor and Ben. I’m so thankful to experience your wedding and get to know the two of you!
